30th Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) – 2026 was formally inaugurated at its permanent venue, the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre (BCFEC) in Purbachal area under Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj district on Saturday morning.
The fair was inaugurated around 10:30 AM, marking another milestone in Bangladesh’s flagship trade exposition. Commerce Secretary Mahbubur Rahman said all stalls and pavilions at this year’s fair were allocated through an online system, ensuring greater transparency and efficiency.
For the first time, an e-ticketing system has been introduced, allowing visitors to purchase tickets online and enter the fair by scanning QR codes at the gates. To ease transportation, special BRTC bus services are operating, alongside discounted ride services through Pathao.
Originally scheduled to begin on January 1, the fair was deferred following the declaration of a three-day state mourning after the death of former prime minister and BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
The Dhaka International Trade Fair has been held annually since 1995 under the joint initiative of the Ministry of Commerce and the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB). From 1995 to 2020, it was organised at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in Dhaka before shifting to its permanent venue in Purbachal.
