BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia's death has created a political vacuum in the country, said Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
Speaking at a media briefing at Evercare Hospital, Fakhrul said, "The mother of democracy and our national guardian left us at 6AM. This loss is irreparable. The nation will not be able to make up for it."
"We never thought we would have to stand before you with this news. We were hoping that he would recover just like before."
Khaleda Zia devoted her entire life to the welfare of the people and that her death has created a political vacuum in the country, Mirza Fakhrul added.
