Begum Rokeya University Mathematics Department (2018-19) session a students and organizing secretary of the university the banned organization Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader Suraiya Yasmin Oishi passed the mid examination without appearing.
It is known that the banned organization Chhatra League was directly involved in inhuman torture and attacks on students in the July-August revolution. This banned organization indirectly helped in the killing of Shaheed Abu Sayed on July 16. All the exams of Masters 1st semester were held before the July revolution. Only Professor Dr. Ruhul Amin's 5102 Communicative Algebra course mid-exam was pending. The examination of the course was scheduled to be held on December 2 last year, but the examination was delayed on December 10. But Oishi did not participate in the test. He got 16 marks in Mid Exam without appearing for the exam. Oishi was absent from the campus since July-August.
Students said, No student of our batch had ever seen him in the department after July-August. There is a lot of anger among everyone about how they get marks in the exam. How do we have a class with the leader of the organization that attacked the students of the July Revolution? How to test?
Suraiya Yasmin Oishi said, I gave the exam but I do not remember the date when I gave it.
Professor Dr. Ruhul Amin said, No, I took the exam before July and August. Because we have already completed all the subjects of Masters 1st semester. And I took this mid exam in the month of May. If you want to see it, you can go to the exam controller and inquire.
The chairman of the examination committee of the mathematics department, associate professor Mo: Hannan Mia said, the relevant course teachers look after these. They give us results. We send it to the Controller of Examinations. I have no hand in it.
Head of Department Professor Dr. Kamlesh Chandra Roy said, I have heard the matter. We will sit with the teachers of the department and we will see the matter.
