The all-party meeting to finalise the proclamation of the July uprising has begun.
The meeting began at 4:30pm at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital, led by Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
Participants include BNP Standing Committee Member Salauddin Ahmed, a four-member delegation led by Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Parwar, a two-member delegation led by Joint Secretary General of Islami Andolan Bangladesh Gazi Ataur Rahman, and Jatiya Nagorik Committee Convener Nasiruddin Patwary and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain.
Students Against Discrimination's Member Secretary Arif Sohel and Chief Organizer Abdul Hannan Masud, Chief Coordinator of the Ganosamhati Andolon Zonayed Saki, Coordinator of the Rashtra Sanskar Andolon Hasnat Kaiyum, General Secretary of the Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) Shahid Uddin Mahmud Swapan, a three-member delegation of Khelafat Majlis led by Secretary General Ahmad Abdul Kader, and President of the Gono Odhikar Parishad Nurul Haque Nur are also in the meeting.
Advisers Mahfuj Alam and Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain were seen entering the Foreign Service Academy as well, reports our correspondent from the spot.
