BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed is set to attend the all-party meeting called by Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at 4:00pm today to discuss the July proclamation.
The meeting, scheduled at the Foreign Service Academy for 4pm, aims to finalise the 'July Declaration' through consensus.
A key policymaker of BNP, Salahuddin will be the party's only leader at the meeting that will strive to arrive at a common ground towards a proclamation of the uprising.
The students had initially announced that they would give a proclamation of revolution unilaterally but backed down later.
Today's discussion is a part of that government initiative towards developing a proclamation, which is endorsed by all parties.
Sayrul Kabir Khan of the BNP media cell, confirmed Salahuddin's participation, saying, "Standing Committee member Salahuddin will depart from his Gulshan residence shortly to attend the meeting."
