The teachers of seven government colleges in the capital on Wednesday issued a warning to the government, saying names of the institutions or their framework cannot be altered for forming a centralised university.
The proposed framework of the “Dhaka Central University” seriously harms the interests of current students, teachers and staffers of the seven colleges, the BCS teachers said at a human chain formed in front of Dhaka College.
They expressed grave concerns at the government initiative undertaken in this regard, which they alleged would end up “gobbling up the seven colleges.”
