Bodies of mother-daughter recovered from Rohingya camp toilet

Armed Police Battellion (APBn) recovered the bodies of woman and her 18 year old daughter from a toilet at Kutupalong Rohingya camp in Cox's Bazar around 6:30 am on Tuesday (January 14).

The dead bodies are identified as Momtaz Begum (55) wife of late Rasid Ahmad and her daughter Subaida Bibi (18) of Block F-75 of Rohingya Camp No-3.

Md. Siraj Amin, 14 APBn Captain (Additional DIG), confirmed the incident. He told that the dead bodies have been rescued from Camp-75 of Kutupalong makeshift Rohingya camp.

According to the APBn, the bodies of the mother and daughter were recovered from a toilet and sent to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy in the morning.

Md. Arif Hussain, officer-in-charge at Ukhiya Police Station said,  investigation is going on to unravel the mystery of death.
