Three days after an eight-year-old school girl was raped while visiting her sister's in-laws in Magura on Wednesday night, a case was filed against four people today.
The victim's mother filed the case with Magura Sadar Police Station, said Mirajul Islam, Magura's additional police super.
The accused are the child's brother-in-law, 18, his father, 42, brother, 17, and mother.
All four accused have been arrested over the incident, said the OC.
They are being interrogated, added the police official.
The 3rd grader was visiting her elder sister's house in Magura town as her school was closed for Ramadan.
Her mother said that someone found her child alone at her sister's house and raped her.
She was brought to the facility in an unconscious state and her condition had not improved since.
On Thursday morning, after her sister's mother-in-law took the child to Magura Sadar Hospital, the neighbours informed her parents who live in another sub-district of Magura.
The family said as her physical condition deteriorated there, she was sent to Faridpur Medical College Hospital.
From there, she was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment yesterday and transferred to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) this morning for better treatment.
DMCH Director Brigadier General Md Asaduzzaman said today her condition is very critical.
A four-member medical board has been formed to oversee her treatment.
