Ishraque to make final announcement on resignation at 2pm

State Minister for Liberation War Affairs Ishraque Hossain has said he will announce his final decision on resigning from the post at the National Press Club in Dhaka at 2pm on Monday.
He announced the decision in a post on his verified Facebook page.
Expressing frustration over celebratory reactions from some social media users, Ishraque said he hoped they would join future movements if needed, inspired by nationalist ideals.

He vowed to intensify his anti-drug campaign even if he stepped down as state minister.
“Not as a member of parliament or state minister, but as a BNP activist, I will work with a hundred times more enthusiasm against drugs,” he wrote.
He also pledged to strengthen cleanliness campaigns and visit districts nationwide to boost the organisational capacity of the Projonmo Dal.
“Not minister, eradicate drugs! Eradicate drugs, eradicate drugs!” he wrote.
