Several hundred workers from ready-made garment factories blocked a road again on Thursday at Uttara in the capital, demanding hike in wages.
The blockade started around 10:00 am on the main road at Uttara's Azampur, leaving severe traffic congestion.
Uttara additional deputy commissioner Al Amin told that several hundred workers of six to seven different garment factories in Dakshinkhan gathered at Azampur and blocked the road at about 10:00am.
Traffic movement on one side of the road is completely closed due to the blockade, he said, adding that police were deployed in the area.
As of 11:00 pm, the blockade was ongoing.
