A man identified as Md. Mostafa was arrested with 551 bottles of aphrodisiac syrup during a raid conducted by the District Detective Branch (DB) in Joypurhat.
The information was disclosed in a press release issued by the DB police on Sunday (July 19). The arrest was made late Saturday night (July 18) during an operation in the Mirgram Choumuhani Bazar area of Sadar Upazila.
The arrested individual, Md. Mostafa, is the son of the late Mojibor Rahman of Kadeya Fakirpara in Sadar Upazila.
According to the Detective Branch, acting on a tip-off, a DB team conducted a raid in the Mirgram Choumuhani Bazar area. During the operation, officers arrested Mostafa and recovered 551 bottles of aphrodisiac syrup from his possession.
A case is being prepared against the accused under the relevant laws.
