Naogaon’s Niamatpur upazila witnessed a shocking tragedy as police recovered the bodies of four family members with their throats slit. The incident took place around midnight on Monday (April 20) at a residence in Bahadurpur Union under Niamatpur Police Station.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahbubur Rahman confirmed the matter.

The victims were identified as Habibur Rahman (32), son of Namir Uddin of Bahadurpur village; his wife Popy Sultana (25); their son Parvez (9); and three-year-old daughter Sadia Akter.

According to local residents, neighbors entered the house after noticing the door open following the Fajr prayer and discovered the gruesome scene. Police were immediately informed and arrived at the spot. Locals suspect the killings may be linked to a land dispute.

Popy Akter’s father, Moazzem Hossain, demanded capital punishment for those responsible for the murders.

OC Mahbubur Rahman stated that police recovered the four bodies upon arrival and that an investigation is underway.
