Speaker of the Parliament Hafiz Uddin Ahmad is set to swear in the newly elected members of parliament from Bogura-6 and Sherpur-3 constituencies on Sunday.
The swear in ceremony will be held at the speaker’s office in the National Parliament Complex at 12pm.
Earlier on Thursday, BNP candidate Rezaul Karim (Badsha) won the Bogura-6 by-polls unofficially, defeating Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Abidur Rahman (Sohel) by 76,772 votes.
Meanwhile, BNP candidate Mahmudul Haque (Rubel) won the Sherpur-3 polls, defeating Jamaat candidate Masudur Rahman by 1,19,066 votes.
