The Barlekha Upazila Community in Toronto hosted its annual picnic 2025 with vibrant celebrations and strong community participation.
The day-long event took place on Sunday, July 27, at Spot 5 of Taylor Creek Park in Toronto. Organized by members of the Barlekha community, the picnic brought together a large number of attendees, including local leaders and guests.
Among the notable guests were Scarborough Southwest MPP Doly Begum and Sarwar Chowdhury, a potential Liberal Party candidate for the same constituency, along with other prominent figures from the community. The event featured holy Quran recitation competition, separate sports events for men and women, and a raffle draw, making for a lively and engaging day.
During the prize-giving ceremony, attendees praised the Barlekha community for organizing such a grand and well-coordinated event and expressed hope that similar initiatives will continue in the future.
