An 11-member committee has been formed with MA Baset, the district representative of Bangladesh Press Club Panchagarh District Branch, as the president and Md. Shafiullah Ripon, the district representative of Daily Deshbarta and Daily Bangladesh Post, as the general secretary.
On August 22, 2026, at the Rangpur Divisional Conference, the founder and president of Bangladesh Press Club (Gov. Reg. No. 98736/12), eminent journalist Md. Farid Khan approved it.
Other members of the 11-member committee are Vice President The Asian District Representative Md. Shahjalal, District Representative of Asian TV Kamal Uddin, District Representative of Daily Dinbadal Sangbad Hasanur Alam Rana, Joint Editor of Daily Pratidin Sangbad District Representative Md. Haider Ali, Deputy General Secretary of Daily Swadhin Mat Panchagarh Representative Md. Ansarul Islam Dulal, Organizing Secretary of Daily Torun Kantha District Representative Md. Mohan Mia, Office Secretary of Daily Naya Diganta District Representative Asifuzzaman Asif, and Publicity and Publication Secretary Md. Farhad Ferdous, District Representative of Shoram Chinta TV.
The committee will perform all its duties including the formation of Upazila Committees of Bangladesh Press Club in five upazilas of Panchagarh district and will complete the familiar meeting and biennial conference of the newly formed full committee in the last week of this month.
