The government has taken steps to relieve the vice-chancellor and pro-vice-chancellor of their duties in a bid to resolve the ongoing crisis at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (Kuet) and resume academic activities promptly.
A search committee will soon be formed to appoint new candidates to the two posts, said a press release issued by the information ministry.
The release stated that the Ministry of Education provided the information.
In the interim, to ensure the continuation of regular activities at the university, a senior professor will be temporarily assigned the responsibilities of the vice chancellor.
