Kihak Sung awarded honorary citizenship of Bangladesh

Kihak Sung, chairman of Youngone Corporation, was awarded honorary citizenship of Bangladesh by Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at the Bangladesh Investment Summit 2025 today.

Founded in 1974, Youngone Corporation is a leading global manufacturer of outdoor/ athletic clothing, textiles, footwear and gear built with a history of innovation, partnership and trust.

Kihak Sung's company has created some 72,000 jobs in KEPZ in Chattogram and has been one of the largest exporters from Bangladesh for many years, CA Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said in his Facebook post.

With this honorary citizenship, Kihak joined a select group of dignitaries like Kazi Nazrul Islam, Mohammad Ali, Father Richard Marino, and Gordon Greenidge, who have been recognised for the efforts and contribution.
